What's new
Changes and additions, newest first.
Three new airports: Pensacola, New Haven, and Liberia
Two more home airports to watch. If you fly out of Pensacola (PNS) or Tweed-New Haven (HVN), pick it and we'll look for mistake fares leaving from there.
Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) is now a destination too. Add it and we'll watch for fares into Guanacaste that are cheaper than they ought to be. Like every international destination, it's part of Pro.
We're looking further ahead
Until now we mostly watched fares for trips in the next few months. We've widened that window: everyone now gets deals up to six months out, so a mistake fare on a trip you're planning well in advance won't slip past us.
Pro reaches further still, up to about ten months ahead on international routes, which is roughly as far out as airlines load those fares. Freshly added far-out dates take a couple of weeks to learn a route's normal price before we'll call anything a deal, so expect these to fill in over the coming weeks.
Two new airports: Larnaca and Asheville
Larnaca, Cyprus (LCA) is now a destination you can watch. Add it and we'll look for fares to Cyprus that are cheaper than they ought to be, and like every international destination, it's part of Pro.
And if you fly into or out of Asheville Regional (AVL), we've got you covered there too.
One email a day, not one per deal
If two or three fares matched you in the same run, we sent you two or three separate emails, sometimes minutes apart. Worse, a few cities have two airports, so the same trip on the same dates at the same price could arrive twice, differing only by a code.
Now everything we find for you in a run arrives as one email, cheapest first. We still list both airports when a city has two, because flying into Dulles instead of Reagan is a real choice and not ours to make for you.
Pick a destination and we'll start looking
Choosing destinations used to be optional, and that was misleading. We search fares from your airport to the places members are watching, so an empty list meant nothing was being searched on your behalf: you'd only see a deal if somebody else happened to want the same trip.
Now we ask for at least one when you sign up, and we'll say so if your list is empty. You'll still see anything else that turns up from your airport, whoever asked for it.
Ask for an airport we don't cover yet
Our airport and destination lists were fixed, so if yours wasn't on them there was nothing you could do about it and no way to tell us. Now there's a "Don't see yours?" link under both pickers.
Tell us what's missing and we'll email you if we add it. You can see the status of anything you've asked for in your settings, including the ones we couldn't match, and you can withdraw a request you no longer need.
You Must Be Mistaken is live
We watch fares leaving your home airport around the clock and email you when one looks too cheap to be real: a missing surcharge, a currency slip, a sale priced somewhere nobody intended.
